Yes, Mewtwo, strangely enough, is believed to be in love with/loved by other characters in the show, other shows, and the general fandom. Here's the shippings (as in relationships), their slight proofs, and exactly what I think about them.

Pairing Mewtwo with Mew

Some people think Mew and Mewtwo are in love. This shipping known as either Catshipping or Mewshipping. But wouldn't that be like marrying a relative or something? Um... Anyway, the reasons to believe this shipping is that, at the end of the First Movie, when Mew shows Mewtwo a place where he can live in safety, they don't seem upset about flying next to each other. And also Mew and Mewtwo usually appear together during the opening theme songs. Yet these shippers seem to forget that Mewtwo has been tormented by dreams of Mew and has built up a sense of hatred toward the sourse of his DNA because of his feelings of inferiority as a clone. Remember Mewtwo's whole obsession with annialating Mew and proving he was stronger? I don't think this relationship is going to blossom into love, at least not for many, many, many years. But, hey, they're both immortal, so I guess anything could happen in a century or two. Just not yet, according to Psylady's little comic below.

Pairing Mewtwo with Ai/Amber

This shipping is called Copishipping, or sometimes refered to as "Love Lives On" (Ai also means "love"). Gee, this is another weird one. It takes Mewtwo and Ai/Amber's dear friendship and make it extreme. Yes, they do love each other, but just as best friends. During the CD Drama, Ai is about four years old. Mewtwo is even younger! They don't care about romance yet. Plus, Ai died, and her DNA was destroyed when Mewtwo blew up on the lab. She's gone, forever. So I can't even say this relationship has a possibility in the future.

Pairing Mewtwo with Sabrina

Some people think Mewtwo and Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym Leader and keeper of the Marsh Badge, are destined for love. This actually even has a name: Psyshipping or Psychicshipping. Well, granted, they are similar, as they are both psychic, serious, and seem to be loners. Perhaps they would be able to understand each other, and thereby eventually fall in love. However, it is different, not similar personalities that tend to attract, and the whole "loner" thing I just mentioned might cause some problems... Plus, Mewtwo and Sabrina have never actually met. I could see them being friends though, if they ever do cross paths. Other people, like Gemma, consider them rivals (at least in her drawing below)!

Pairing Mewtwo with Nurse Joy

Still other people think Mewtwo likes Nurse Joy, and sometimes refer to this belief as Newislandshipping or Crossshipping. True, Mewtwo whisked Nurse Joy away to his own private island, but it was really nothing romantic. Mewtwo did so because he needed her knowledge of Pokemon. Nothing more, nothing less. I personally didn't see any flicker of undying love in his eye when he released her. Don't forget Mewtwo was on a "I hate humans!" kick at the time. And, no, I really don't feel there will be any developing emotions in the future, at least not positive ones.

Pairing Mewtwo with Giovanni

I really dislike Abuseshipping. Mewtwo despises Giovanni. And Giovanni does not love Mewtwo. He loves Mewtwo's power and what Mewtwo's power will give him. Giovanni has manipulated, imprisoned, lied to, and tortured Mewtwo. Being abused is not a sign of love, and if you are in an abusive relationship, you must seek outside help and remove yourself from the situation as soon as possible. If Mewtwo ever sees Giovanni again, I personally think he would kill Giovanni, not marry him.

Pairing Mewtwo with Gardevoir

Wow, a pairing of Mewtwo with another Pokemon rather than a human, imagine that. Heh, sorry, I couldn't help but notice the previous trend. Anyway, I stopped watching Pokemon long before Gardevoir was invented, but based on what I can infer based on the game and on appearances, I think Mewtwo and a Gardevoir could get along. They are both psychic, Gardevoir seems like she'd be quiet and contemplative, she has a move pool that implies the use of strategy (so she's probably smart), and she's no weakling. She's also pretty, and the Pokedex says she's very loyal. So, I dunno, if Mewtwo's looking to date a Pokemon, I don't see why Gardevoir wouldn't be a possible candidate, unless she has a problem with him, lol. (Drawing thanks to Zidane-Angelo)

Pairing Mewtwo with Mewthree

Mewthree, in the sense that I am using it, is a general term for any fan created character that is another clone of Mew, a clone of Mewtwo, a clone created blending both Mew and Mewtwo's DNA, etc, etc. As many different fans have created many different versions of this basic idea, I certainly cannot speak on behalf on all of them. However, more often than not, Mewthree is a female and ends up in love with Mewtwo, such as Tresa from Chibi Kitties in the picture below (thanks Depleti!). I think some really good Mewthree characters like Tresa (when she's older) might actually be able to get along with Mewtwo. They would share a similar past, such as their experiences as clones. They'd be the only ones of their kind, likely leading to a common bond or some sort of alliance forming between them. However, all Mewthrees are different. And, of course, they are fan-created characters and therefore do not exist in Mewtwo's world.

Pairing Mewtwo with Renamon

Renamon is a female Digimon whose structure and character are similar to that of Mewtwo (see the Copy Cats Page). There seems to be little other support of a successful relationship between the two except for these superficial comparisons. I've never actually seen the show, so I cannot say what sort of vibes I personally got. However, Renamon is from the realm of Digimon, and therefore she and Mewtwo will never meet, except in crossover fanfiction, lol.

Pairing Mewtwo with Me!

Especially in the Ask Mew and Mewtwo section, there has come the belief that I am majorly in love with Mewtwo and am very possessive of him. I do keep other fans, Sailor Moon, and Renamon away. This is mostly done for the sake of humor. I love Mewtwo and all, but I am not so possessive. Yes, it is true that I resent other fans invading Mewtwo's personal space and such, but he is a mighty legendary and deserves some breathing room.
