Narrator: Life. The great miracle... and the great mystery.

Mewtwo: (whispering) Who am I?

Narrator: Since the beginning, humans and Pokemon alike have searched for its meaning.

Mewtwo: (whispering) What am I?

Narrator: Many strange and wondrous legends evolved from the pursuit of life's mysteries.

Mewtwo: (whispering) Where... am I...

Narrator: But none is stranger than this tale of the most powerful Pokemon of all.

Mewtwo: (whispering) I am ready...to be.

(There is no speaking here in the Japanese version)

Mewtwo: Where...am I? This, this is not the same. Was everything before... just a dream? Why?

Scientist 1: Doctor, look at this!

Prof. Smith: What?

Scientist: Its brainwaves... they're surging!

Scientist: Let me see!

Scientist: She's right!

Scientist: Let's run another scan!

Scientist: Its mind is racing!

Myuutsuu:Who am I? I've been dreaming about this world which doesn't exist in my memory. (Myuu swims by) Who are you? Wait! Am I a part of you...? Or not...?(Camera goes into a darker place with orange bubbles then it shows someone's eye open. Human figures are seen outside where he is.) Where is this? Who am I? Who brought me here?

Mewtwo: Those voices.

Prof Smith: I hope we don't lose this one!

Mewtwo: They're outside.

Prof. Smith: We can't lose this one!

Mewtwo: Where I must be. (Breaks glass)

Myuustuu: Who am I and why am I here? I just appeared here. I haven't even been born to this world yet. Who am I? (breaks glass)

Scientist: Radio Giovanni's helicopter! Tell him what's happened!

Scientist: It has awakened!

Myuutsuu: Did he do this?

Prof. Smith: Quiet! Let us hear its psychic powers.

Dr. Fuji: Wonderful! Mewtwo has been completed.

Mewtwo: Psychic... powers?

Myuutsuu: Myuutsuu?

Prof. Smith: For years we struggled to successfully clone a Pokemon to prove our theories, but you're the first specimen to survive. (points to Mew carving) That is Mew, the rarest of all Pokemon. From its DNA we created you, Mewtwo.

Dr. Fuji: That's you. We created you from a Myuu, the rarest Pokemon in the world! (points to Myuu carving) Yes, that's the Pokemon which is said to be the most rare of all Pokemon: Myuu.

Mewtwo: Am I only a copy? Nothing but Mew's shadow?

Myuutsuu: Myuu? Is that my parent? My father? My mother?

Prof. Smith: You are greater than Mew, improved through the power of human ingenuity. We used the most advanced techniques to develop your awesome psychic powers.

Dr. Fuji: You can say that, but not really. You've been made stronger based on a Myuu.

Mewtwo: So. I am simply the end result of your experiment. What becomes of me now that your experiment is over?

Myuutsuu: Who is this? If neither my father nor mother. Then was it God? Did God create me?

Prof. Smith: Oh, our experiment isn't over yet, it's just beginning! Now the serious testing begins!

Dr. Fuji: In the world the only ones that can create new life is man and God.

Mewtwo: (thinking) These humans... they care nothing for me.

(The scientists talk excitedly amongst themselves.)

Myuutsuu: Who did this? Humans made me?

Dr. Fuji: This is truly a victory for science.

Scientist: With this we've proven our theory correct. We can continue the study.

Scientist: This place will become the new Mecca.

Dr. Fuji: (all shaking hands) I'm going to contact the other offices.

Mewtwo: Is that my purpose? Am I just an experiment? A laboratory specimen? This cannot be my destiny! (starts destroying lab; computer tries to stop him with metal arms, but they are no match; soon the whole lab is in flames)

Myuutsuu: (thinking) Who am I? Where is this place? What was I born for?(starts destroying the whole lab; computer tries to stop him with metal arms. but they are no match; soon the whole lab is in flames.)

Prof. Smith:We dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokemon... and we succeeded. (The whole lab blows up.)

Dr. Fuji: To make the strongest Pokemon ever.. that was our dream...(The whole lab blows up)

Mewtwo: (standing amid the burning wreckage) Behold my powers! I am the strongest Pokemon in the world... stronger even than Mew.

Myuustuu: (standing amid the burning wreckage) Is this my power? I'm the strongest Pokemon in the world. Myuu, am I stronger then you?

Giovanni: (lands in his helicopter and approaches Mewtwo) Those fools thought you were a science experiment. But I... I see you as a valuable partner.

Sakaki: (lands in his helicopter and approaches Myuutsuu) You surely are the strongest Pokemon in the world. But there is another that would be the strongest.

Mewtwo: Partner?

Myuustuu: The humans?

Giovanni: With your psychic powers and my resources, together we can control the world.

Sakaki: (nods) If you and a human were to cooperate then the world would be ours.

Mewtwo: I do not need your help for that, human.

Myuutsuu: The world would be ours?

Giovanni: A wildfire destroys everything in its path. It will be the same with your powers unless you learn to control them. I can help you do that.

Sakaki: If your power is set free the world would be ruined. You must control your power.

Mewtwo: How?

Myuutsuu: Control?

Giovanni: Trust me and I'll show you a way to focus your powers that will make you invincible.

Sakaki: Are you okay with destroying the world as it is with that power?

Mewtwo: Show me. (Giovanni smiles and chuckles)

Myuutsuu: What should I do? (Sakaki smiles and chuckles)

Mewtwo: (in Giovanni's lab, armor is being applied to Mewtwo) You say this armor protects my body, yet it suppresses my powers!

Myuutsuu: (in Sakaki's lab, armor is being applied to Myuutsuu) Control myself with the armor that protects me? What are you going to make me do?

Giovanni: Your powers are not being suppressed, they're being focused. Learn to use them to accomplish your purpose.

Sakaki: It's simple. All you have to do are the things everyone else has been doing...

Mewtwo: What is that?

Myuutsuu: and that is?

Giovanni: Patience, my friend. Your purpose will become clear.

Sakaki: Fighting, destruction, and plunder. The stronger will win.

Mewtwo: (defeats an Onix in the gym) So this is my power...! (Psychically lifts up a herd of Tauros in the wild so that Team Rocket members can catch them) I am in control, now. (Shown defeating an Alakazam in the gym, then a Magneton in the gym; then Gary's Arcanine and Nidoking at the same time) But why am I here?

(Myuutsuu is shown defeating all the Pokemon mentioned on the English side, apparently without speaking)

Mewtwo: (in Giovanni's lab) Now I fully perceive my power. But what is my purpose?

Myuutsuu: (in Sakaki's lab) What am I fighting for? What am I living for?

Giovanni: To serve your master. (enters on balcony) You were created to fight for me That is your purpose.

Mewtwo: That cannot be. You said we were partners. We stood as equals.

Giovanni:You were created by humans to obey humans. You could never be our equal.

Sakaki: You are a Pokemon. Pokemon made by humans, what else are you worth?

Mewtwo: Humans may have created me. But they will never enslave me! This cannot be my destiny! (starts breaking free)

Myuutsuu: My worth? Who am I? What do I live for? (Mewtwo starts breaking free)

Giovanni: Stop this now!

Sakaki: What are you doing?

Mewtwo: I was not born a Pokemon, I was created. And my creators have used and betrayed me. So... I stand alone! (blows up Team Rocket Headquarters and flies off, shedding his armor. He lands on New Island and his helmet falls at his feet) Who am I? What is my true reason for being? I will find my own purpose, and purge this planet of all who oppose me...Human and Pokemon alike... the world will heed my warning. The reign of Mewtwo will soon begin!

Myuustuu: I was made by humans. But I, who was created by humans, am not even a Pokemon. (blows up Team Rocket Headquarters and flies off, shedding his armor. He lands on New Island and his helmet falls at his feet) Who am I? Where is this place? Who asked to make me? Who wished to make me? I hate everything that made me! So this is neither an attack, nor a declaration of war, but revenge on you who made me!

Narrator: Today, Ash, Brock, and Misty are taking a short break from their Pokemon adventures. As always, Ash is determined to become a Pokemon master, and as always, he's ready to endure any hardship, bear any burden, with strength, stamina, and a will of steel!

Narrator: Satoshi and the others are on a journey training to be Pokemon masters. It's a beautiful day so they take a break in a field.

Ash: Hungry... need food...

Satoshi: Is it ready yet?

Misty: Oh, Ash! You haven't done a thing all day!

Katsumi: Satoshi, you can help too.

Ash: I'm too weak to work, Misty! I haven't eaten since breakfast!

Misty: (melting): Well...

Satoshi: I can't. I can't even move one millimeter because I'm so starved.

Brock: This lunch is gonna be just perfect for you, Ash. It's my Lazy-Boy No-Chew Stew!

Takeshi: Stew well and raise slowly. You mustn't be in a rush with both soup or Pokemon.

Pirate Trainer: Hey, you there! I'm lookin' for a Pokemon trainer named Ash from Pallet Town. You know him?

American Trainer: Hey you! The boy over there! Are you Satoshi from Pallet Town?

Ash: Yeah, he's me.

Satoshi: That's right.

Pirate Trainer: Let's have a match! Unless you're afraid to lose.

American Trainer: Can I have a Pokemon battle with you?

Ash: I'm afraid you're going to lose this one!

Satoshi: Okay! I must have a solid fight!

Misty: Ash, you just said you were too weak to work!

Katsumi: I thought you couldn't move one millimeter?

Ash: That's right, I am too weak to work, but a Pokemon battle isn't work!

Satoshi: Just one or two Pokemon fights before breakfast.

Brock: That's progress. At least his mouth is working.

Takeshi: This is lunch, so that would be before lunch.

Pikachu: Pika..chu...

Pikachu: Pika..chu...

Pirate Trainer: (loses) Ohhhh nooooo!

American Trainer: (loses) Oh my God!

Ash: We did it!

Satoshi: I did it!

Misty: Well, that sure was a shocking ending.

Katsumi: It was just because your opponent was weak.

Brock: Shocking that Ash moved so fast.

Takeshi: He didn't even raise them well.

James: (on a nearby cliff, watching the twerps) There's another credit on Pikachu's charge account.

Kojiro: (on a nearby cliff, watching the twerps) Pikachu gets stronger and stronger.

Jessie: We've got to grab him.

Musashi: Beautiful.

Meowth: I know we've got to grab some rare Pokemon for the boss but it wouldn't be such a bad idea if we grabbed a bite to eat, would it?

Nyasu: We couldn't beat him even once. But the word "surrender" isn't in our dictionary.

Jessie: We didn't come here to steal a meal!

James: I'd settle for a taste of that Pika-chow.

Musashi: I will get that Pikachu.

Kojiro: But look at that. (looks at them all eating)

Meowth: I'm starvin'.

Nyasu: I'm so hungry.

Jessie: (whips out frying pan) I can cook something.

Musashi: I got a frying pan...

Meowth:Thanks, but the last time you cooked you wiped out eight of my nine lives. (they all sigh)

Nyasu: What good is such a thing without meat and vegetables? It's just an iron board. (they all sigh)

Lady: (A Fearow is seen flying overhead with a camera around its neck. It is being transmitted to Mewtwo, who is watching Ash and Pikachu in his palace; lady enters) Master, shall I extend an invitation to these trainers as well? (Slight pause) As you wish. (exits)

Lady: (A Onidoriru is seen flying overhead with a camera around its neck. It is being transmitted to Myuutsuu, who is watching Satoshi and Pikachu in his palace; lady enters) Are you sending them an invitation?

Myuutsuu: Certainly.

Ash: (Dragonite flies out of the control center with a bag. It flies over the water. It buzzes Team Rocket and they fall, then it buzzes Ash and company, knocking them all over. Then it lands.) Watch where you're flyin'! (Dragonite hands him an invitation) Huh? Somethin' for me? (He hits a button and the card displays a hologram of the lady. )

Satoshi: (Kairyu flies out of the control center with a bag. It flies over the water. It buzzes Team Rocket and they fall, then it buzzes Satoshi and company, knocking them all over. Then it lands.) What are you? (Kairyu hands him an invitation) This? For me? (He hits a button and a hologram of the lady is displayed)

Lady: Greetings, Pokemon trainers. I bear an invitation.

Lady: Please forgive me for the abrupt letter.

Brock: She's really small, but really pretty.

Takeshi: What a beautiful lady...

Lady: You have been selected to join a select group of Pokemon trainers at a special gathering. It will be hosted by my master, the world's greatest Pokemon trainer, at his palace on New Island. A chartered ferry will leave from Old Shore Wharf to take you there this afternoon. Only trainers who show this invitation will be admitted. If you decide to attend, you must reply at once. My master awaits you. (image winks out)

Lady: Since you are a promising Pokemon trainer of the future, we'd like to invite you to a party of my master who is the strongest Pokemon trainer in the world. The place is the New Island Pokemon Castle. Please check the reply card for whether your coming or not. Please accept the invitation for the strongest trainer in the world. (image winks out)

Brock: (to Dragonite): Is there a rewind button?

Takeshi: Beautiful Lady...

Misty: Should we go?

Katsumi: What do we do?

Brock: Of course we should! I've got to meet her!

Takeshi: Lets go for it. We should go for it.

Ash: I guess the world's number one trainer wants to challenge me to a match!

Misty: Well, we got to let them know right away!

Ash: I'm saying yes! (They check yes on the invitation, and hand it back to Dragonite. Dragonite takes the card and flies away from the group and up the hill but Jessie, James and Meowth block his flight.)

Satoshi: I don't feel uncomfortable with being told I'm a promising future trainer.

Katsumi: Well then, check yes on the card. (They check yes on the invitation, and hand it back to Kairyu. Kairyu takes the card and flies away from the group and up the hill but Musashi, Kojiro, and Nyasu block his flight.)

Jessie: We want to know what's so special about the twerp trio's special delivery! (Ash's invitation falls out of Dragonite's bag.)

Musashi: Don't say goodbye without saying hello. (Satoshi's invitation falls out of Kairyu's bag.)

Meowth: Hey, look!

James:"Yes?" To what?
